01The Challenge
HydroGraph
114 qualified sales opportunities for HydroGraph
HydroGraph Clean Power produces high-purity graphene through its own explosion synthesis process. Its production meets the Graphene Council’s Verified Graphene Producer® standards and can scale quickly. HydroGraph had strong R&D and verified credentials, but needed a clearer route to commercial traction.
Service
Graphene and explosion synthesis aren’t simple concepts.
HydroGraph struggled to explain what made it different to non-technical commercial audiences. Its ideal buyers were senior, technical people in composites and industrial manufacturing. They’re hard to reach without a targeted approach.
Sales cycles in advanced materials are long and depend on education and credibility. HydroGraph had the capacity to scale, but capacity only matters when demand exists. It needed a steady flow of qualified commercial conversations.
“The difficulty lay in translating a highly technical value proposition, rooted in explosion synthesis and batch-to-batch uniformity, into commercially meaningful conversations with industry stakeholders.”
Tom Eldridge, Director of Business Development, HydroGraph
02What We Did
Graphene often faces scepticism because of inconsistent quality and unclear ROI.
We tackled that head-on with a campaign built around education and credibility. We positioned HydroGraph beyond a supplier as a technical partner:
LinkedIn Ads
We set up and optimised HydroGraph’s ad account and researched its target audience. Each month we produced four ad creatives, with all copy written by our team. Content-led ads, including a white paper from our content team, sparked conversations with R&D and materials leaders.
Hybrid LinkedIn Outreach
Alongside the ads, we optimised HydroGraph’s LinkedIn profile and ran a hybrid outreach campaign. We managed connection requests, messages and InMails, with every lead fed into HydroGraph’s CRM. Targets included CTOs, heads of R&D and materials scientists across the UK, Europe and North America.
03The Results
The ads generated 51 leads from 81,201 impressions and 752 clicks, at an average CPC of £3.80. The engagement rate reached 5.81%, with 4,718 total engagements. HydroGraph’s Company Page also gained 1,166 new followers.
Outreach launched in late September 2025 and delivered 63 leads in four months. That’s an average of 15.8 leads a month. We sent 2,294 connection requests with a 24.8% acceptance rate. One in nine initial conversations became a lead, an 11% message-to-opportunity rate.
