LinkedIn, the top professional networking platform, is finally getting on board and embracing the power of artificial intelligence (AI). Just after Meta launched their suite of AI-based tools to help ad campaigns, LinkedIn is also starting to use AI to revolutionise the way marketers create ad copies.

LinkedIn is developing AI-generated copy suggestions for ad campaigns that leverage advanced OpenAI GPT models. This new feature aims to streamline the content creation process and enable marketers to focus on higher-value tasks.

According to LinkedIn’s recent survey, a significant 53% of marketers have expressed their intention to utilise Generative AI to enhance efficiency and dedicate more time to critical aspects of their work. Recognizing this demand, LinkedIn’s AI-generated copy suggestions leverage data from users’ LinkedIn Pages and Campaign Manager settings, including objectives, targeting criteria, and audience information. By analysing this data, the AI-powered tool suggests up to 5 ad headlines and ad copy recommendations, effectively jumpstarting marketers’ campaigns.

The feature is currently still in the testing phase and has only been rolled out to some customers in North America. They do however plan to expand the functionality, availability, and language options in the coming months, catering to a broader user base.

AI Isn’t New to LinkedIn

LinkedIn has been incorporating AI into its platform for some time, utilising the technology to optimise audience targeting, measure conversions accurately, and enhance bidding models. AI also plays a vital role in aggregating signals, such as buyer intent, to help marketers connect with their desired audiences effectively.

By harnessing the power of Generative AI, LinkedIn empowers marketers to focus on higher-value work, generate more content in less time, and drive ROI for their companies. This innovative tool provides marketers with a valuable resource to produce memorable campaigns and strengthen their brand presence.

As LinkedIn continues to invest in AI-driven solutions, the possibilities for marketers are expanding. This only represents just one step in LinkedIn’s journey to equip marketers with cutting-edge tools that optimise efficiency and empower them to achieve their goals. We wonder what else is on the horizon for LinkedIn!
